Olive (ex Lucky)
The sixth, final puppy was a girl, born at 9:28am on the 2nd of April, 2012. She was a bit unhealthy looking- her breathing seemed laboured and congested, and wasn't moving to find the teat.
She was taken to the vet, who said her pulse was slow and weak, and her temperature was to low to even register. She was given a 10ml dose of glucose, and we were supplied with formula. We called her Lucky, because of her near fatality, although after that first day she seemed fine, and at the moment is one of the largest puppies. Her markings are two small blotches of white on her chest. She has the lightest colouring out of all the puppies. When last weighed (13/5/12) she was 1.6kg. She has been reserved by another Sydney family. Her new name is to be 'Olive', or 'Ollie' for short, just to make things confusing! |
